AVATAR-SP Digital Unfolding MCA
Introduction
The AVATAR-SP Digital Unfolding MCA system produced by Jiechuang Nuclear Instruments (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. is a hybrid system with built-in digital MCA function and spectrum unfolding function. It is mainly used for spectrum readout of various scintillation detectors such as NaI, LaBr3, BGO. Full waveform sampling technology directly digitizes preamplifier signals, with integrated high-voltage control, zero adjustment, gain adjustment, and temperature acquisition. The acquired spectrum data completes unfolding function within the MCA.
The built-in peak stabilization program can maintain peak position stability for a long time. It uses Gaussian fitting + step function for net peak area calculation and can return unfolding results in real time. Users can perform nuclide identification and activity calculation based on unfolding results.

l Stable and reliable for long-term operation, zero drift less than 1 channel in 72 hours, gain instability less than 0.2% in 72 hours;
l Zero temperature coefficient: less than 0.2 channels/℃; gain temperature coefficient: less than 0.1%/℃;
l Power supply: +12V, power consumption: less than 2W;
l Two groups of RS485 output, one for standard Modbus RTU output, one for upper computer debugging, both RS485 channels can work simultaneously for easy debugging and comparison;
l Long communication distance, tested reliable communication over 60 meters;
l Fast system response, can get unfolding results within 7 seconds after power-on;
l Built-in fully digital peak stabilization program, can stabilize specific energy peaks digitally. Peak drift ≤ 1 channel over 24 hours continuously;
l Can perform energy calibration and efficiency calibration, key parameters stored offline;
l Can perform digital unfolding, can specify energy ROI to calculate net peak area and nuclide identification, can output net peak area or increment information;



Spectrum Analysis Software Features
l Full English spectrum analysis software, can run on Windows or Kylin operating system;
l Uses Gaussian fitting + step function for net peak area calculation, fitting results displayed graphically in real time;
l Can simultaneously obtain unfolding results from MCA and real-time unfolding results from upper computer software for easy debugging and comparison;
l Can perform energy calibration, efficiency calibration, energy ROI selection through upper computer, and parameters can be sent to MCA for offline storage;
l Can start peak stabilization program, can specify peak stabilization energy and ROI, parameters sent after enabling;
l Can read actual temperature inside the probe;
l Nuclide library: built-in nuclide library, supports user-defined nuclide library;
